Haircuts

I mentoined to the girls yesterday that it was about time to give their hair a trim. They both informed me that they needed short hair. I said ok, as long as they were ok with it. They both said ok, so we cut it shoulder length. Daycia had 5 inches cut off and Dani was about 3. It turned out super cute and hopefully will be a bit easier to keep the tangles out. Dani really looks like me now that our hair is the same lenght. Gotta love having a mini me!! :)

Cold Weather Fun

Since the weather has been SOOO bitter cold the last two days and we had school canceled, we were getting some cabin fever so I took the girls to storytime at the library, lunch at Chick-fil-A and swimming at the Chilson Center. We hadn't yet been to the new part of the pool and the girls seemed to REALLY like it. Danica played in the sprayers, went in the lazy river and stood under the dump buckets. She was a bit disappointed the kid slide was not open since they are repairing it. She is doing awsome holding her breath and going under water. Daycia had a blast swimming in the lazy river, running around by herself and going down the BIG slide!! It was sooooo crowded, but we had a great time and better yet, the girls should sleep great after playing in the water for two hours!!

Gotta love the saggy butt!! We have a hard time finding swimsuits that fit her. She's too big for one size and too little for another. Maybe we need to start shopping in pieces!!

Gymnastics

The girls both started gymnastics classes today. The rec center remodeled the building and the space is great and really neat to watch the kids through the one-way glass. Not so great for taking pictures though. I'll keep trying to get some good ones.

Braids and Waves

The girls wanted wavy hair this week I after their bath I put their hair into lots of little braids.

Here's the result when we took them out the next morning :)

The next day I used my crimping iron that I have had since I was a kid. Sinilar results, but much BIGGER hair! Next time I'll get a picture of it crimped :)
