Nick and I took the girls on an overnight camping trip to West Lake. We had a lot of fun hanging out, fishing, making popcorn and s'mores, and sleeping in the tent. The girls caught lots of fish and we even got to eat some for dinner and bring some home too.

Learning to Ride

Our baby is growing up so fast!!! Daycia is starting to learn to ride her bike without the training wheels. She did a great job yesterday...until she ran into the curb and gave herself a fat lip. Just one of many injuries she'll get from riding her bike, but we are SO Proud of her!!

Sprinkler Park

I took the girls to the sprinkler park this weekend, but they only lasted about ten minutes. The water was really cold and Danica didn't really want anything to do with getting wet. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted and we'll go again soon.

First Time Bowling

Today I my brother Kyle and his family invited us to go bowling. Daycia and Danica had never been and I haven't been in twelve years. The kids played bumper bowling and used a nifty ramp to roll the balls down the lane. Alex, the oldest, didn't use the ramp, but was a great help with Danica and Daycia since they had never been before. Both girls were so excited and had a great time. It was nice to hang out with cousins Alex, Dylan and Jacklyn. Aunt Crystal and Uncle Kyle were great too. To top it off Daycia asked me,"Why do we have to wear these ugly shoes?" I think we'll have to go again since it was such a hit! Hopefully next time dad can join us.

Birds Take Flight

So here's pictures of the baby birds that were living in our tree. The mommy bird did a great job raising her brood and now they have left the nest. What a great learning experience for the girls!

This first picture was taken on May 21, babies hatched about one day prior.

This one was taken 10 days later on May 31.
