Rollerblades and a plastic bag

The kids have been begging us for months about buying them rollerblades. We took them about a month ago just to try some on at Dick's. Today while we were buying Daycia a golfing glove we gave in and got them the skates they wanted and they came with knee, elbow and wrist pads. We bought them on the big side and their adjustable so hopefully both girls can get a lot of use out of them. They are both pretty unsteady, so they will need lots of practice!! When we got home Daycia was eager to try them out, but Danica only wanted to pose with her skates on and by then had already lost interest and only wanted to play with one of the bags the skates were wrapped in!! Typical kid! You spend tons of money on the gift and they're more interested in the box or packaging. I could've given her a big bag with holes in it for free! She decided she needed to fill the bag with water and water the plants:) Silly kids!

Daycia Golfing

Daycia had her first golfing lesson of the summer this morning. She was nervous that she wouldn't know anyone, but a kiddo she was in daycare with and happens to live across the street from her cousins is in her class. She had fun, but we had to go buy her a glove since she'll be swinging A LOT this week and was already getting a blister on her hand. Hopefully she sees improvement in herself and continues to like it and have fun. She was getting frustrated when she missed the ball completely or didn't hit it very far. We continue to remind her that to get better she needs to be patient and practice! She did look darned cute in her wrap sunglasses, plaid shorts, and collared golf shirt ("Just like Grandma Jean!!")

First swim

Our neighborhood pool opened last weekend and here are the pictures I took of the girls enjoying their first day at the pool. It's going to be a great summer of swimming.  Both girls love it and Danica is doing great swimming on her own and can touch in the shallow end :)

Daycia and Mrs. Pett

For the life of me I could NOT get this photo to flip around....sorry!  Daycia had a fabulous 2nd grade year with Mrs. Pett.  She learned and grew so much!  We're so proud of her!  We are excited to have two kids in school full time next year!  YAY!!! ...But sad that they are growing up so fast.

Preschool Graduation

I can't believe Danica graduated from preschool yesterday!  She has grown so big and learned so much.  She is definately ready for KINDERGARTEN!!
